The GASP core group and the department of Information and Communication Technology is looking for a motivated PhD candidate to join an exciting project on Augmenting Learning Environments Using Generative AI and Neuroadaptive Systems.

In this interdisciplinary PhD, you will develop intelligent systems that adapt learning environments in real-time based on brain signals to improve focus, engagement, and cognitive efficiency. You will work at the cutting edge of AI, neuroscience, and human-robot interaction to create novel, adaptive educational technologies.

We welcome applicants with a recent Master’s degree in engineering, a strong interest in human learning and AI, and proficiency in English or Dutch. The project is supervised by Prof. Dr. ir Dick Botteldooren and Prof. Dr. ir Tony Belpaeme.

The position is fully funded for up to 4 years and starts before October 1, 2025.
